A fine example of a 19th century flat top mantel clock, the Hesketh tolls the passing hour in true period style. Unusual black cabinet pillars form part of the refined burr mahogany piano finish case that was very popular at that time. The 8 day key wound mechanical movement strikes once on the top mounted bell as the minute hand passes the hour.
